The market research as well as survey of the needs and promotion of goods and services go back into antiquity. It was the ancient shaman who searched people’s fears and wishes to satisfy it by the Gods’ messages, explain the chief activity (the same with manager’s service) or the beginning of war, etc.  The main principles of promotion have not changed since then, but some new tactics and strategies were appeared. However, similarly with physical laws the rules of sales management are constant regardless of our knowledge about them. The biggest deal in sale of goods is an identification of needs and a satisfaction of them by your goods. Of course, you can offer the other goods.

So, marketing professionals and Green Peace… Is it profitable for both of them or only for one side when people buy just body on wheels instead of heart car?

There is a plenty of laments about global warming and very end of oil. In modern trend of pollution control I cannot help saying about highly fashioned innovations of cars operates by compressed air, electricity and gas. How is compressed air made? It is produced due to electricity. But how does electricity appear?   It is made by fuel combustion.  Vicious circle. Gas is the exhaustible resource. In my opinion the main idea humanity has to take care of is the searching of alternative inexhaustible resources as solar power, wind power and tidal power.  The researching has begun but they do not obtain enough financing and attention. As to global warming, the scientists have no evidences that the humanity activity is the main reason of increasing of the average temperature on the Earth. Hydrocarbon emission due to our life sustenance is inappreciable in comparing with natural emission and temperature variation has been noticed long before the industrial revolution.

Yes, it seems a very strange beginning of the article about cars, but, you know, they do not kill us and at the same time make us stronger. Is it right? Yes, absolutely. The car itself cannot do any awful thing. But the driver can.

I am a big fan of JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) cars, especially their full flourish (in my opinion):  the cars with year of manufacture from the mid 1990s to early 2000s. It was the time of legendary Honda Type R, the rally glory of eternal rivals WRX STI and EVO, Skyline GTR in 32 to 34 body shapes. I am not too old, but I am sure that the previous cars were built better, with rare honesty and heart. Is it worth mentioning about legendary American muscle cars made in 60-70s or worldwide known Group B in Rally? However nowadays an automobile industry and, actually, the whole World are under of marketing professionals’ influence.  Cars are built cheaper, more safety and impersonal on the surface as well as in the technicality. Are there any global changes in the safety systems? Did the physical laws or the principals of engine-building have any innovations? No. But due to some reasons car manufactures began to sell their souls to marketroid and play the role of professionals in creating of utility vehicles or mass-produced cars for middle social class. China and South Korea will lead the world in cheap car sector in the nearest future. Only unique models with breakthrough technologies in engine systems and transmission and also track records have the real value. Otherwise the labels “Toyota”, “Honda” or “Ford” mean nothing for costumers: when costumer buys vehicle not for pleasure but for budget saving, he does not think about marks, brands and labels. Things can't be all that bad and the range of the greatest corporations has top expensive models with leading developments in design, safety system, etc. but where is the soul, the heart, the speed?

Many philosophers have been searching the answers on the questions about the evidence of our existence, problems of illusion and perception of our mind for centuries. But no clear result has been found. I do not pretend to be a great thinker or a critic of philosophers. I am just interested of human’s mind and his transfer to the Internet network. 

The appearance of this instrument of information changing and its evolution has brought the real changing in humanity mind and the individual’s vision of reality. Modern society cannot imagine a day without this genius and useful innovation. However just e-mails, reading and searching of information, its exchanging do not suffice to satisfy us. We became to move our image into virtual reality. Every Internet User has his own virtual copy or several ones. Let’s call it “ghost”. Yes, it is a direct analogy to the film “Ghost in the shell” (I cannot call it as a cartoon). And in my opinion it is the best description. We create accounts in social networks, forums and other websites. Now every e-mail service provider gives an opportunity to attach not only e-mail address but name and avatar in your messages, even also to use social network. It means we try to take every opportunity in supplying our personal information. But can we call our ghosts on forums or in social networks (including E-mail, Skype and other programs for chatting) as ‘copies’? Let’s be honest – NO! It seems to us that we give brief and honest information about our lives. But if you visit the page of your friend, you will make wonder. Is it casual photo or the best one in your friend’s opinion?

The Truman Show (You have no chance to escape!)

There is no total control, but even idea about it is so abusive.

I hope everyone saw this nice movie starring Jim Carrey. Why does this story ring so true? Why are the main ideas so easy to understand and imagine as much as the reality in Enemy of the State with Will Smith? Is the possibility of total control so distinct?

Nowadays everybody has a cell phone and the SIM-card. We change our cell phones too fast for the new models under advertisement or manufacturers pressure. And when previous models are out of order, it looks like somebody reduced useful life for all modern gadgets intentionally. However information about us such as cell phone number, account number and all personal data is still available on our SIM-cards.  

I have interested one thing from my first purchasing of SIM-card: What do they need my exact name, address and contacts for? Why do I have to confirm it by ID?

Are they trying to protect us from cheat? To protect society from using cell phones in criminal purposes? Is it protection from world terrorism? (Did not Uncle Sam protect the whole world from it by Middle Eastern expansion? No? Is some oil still there?) Or maybe they wish to send some Christmas presents with correct names on cards for us?

SMOKING

Don’t tell me what to do and I will not tell you where to go!

As far as I know there are enough facts about tobacco and other herb smoking in history of many countries, even ancient cultures. Unfortunately I am a smoker too and it seems like I will never quit. I really hope that it will never happen because the only reason to make me stop smoking is a serious illness. I perfectly understand all harm of that way of life and always consider as an attempts of suicide. But it is not my goal to talk about tendency to self-destruction not only individuals but also all modern society. At least not now.  I do wish that everyone especially children will be free from this habit. I am sure that all members of society (smokers and non-smokers) have equal rights but it is obvious that very often governments forgot about this when their PR services realize popular anti-smoking campaigns. These programs are invested with enormous amounts of money, also by tobacco magnates as an indulgence for nicotine souls.  There are a lot of people responsible for the control of smoking all over the world. These specialists distribute huge finance which is put from smoker too. At the same time great money from tobacco tax flow to country’s budget.
